Football, for a long time and today more than ever, is an activity whose traces can be found in almost everything we see, read and listen. For many, it represents a way of life, an identity, a passion that gives meaning to daily lives. For children and adults, it is a playful illusion that has been materialized in an endless number of objects and materials whose collection and study is essential to understand a part of what we have been and what we are.
This exhibition brings together, for the first time, several of the most important football collections in the country, forming a fabulous chronicle of the fundamental passages —and also the most curious— of national football, as well as a sincere tribute to the characters that have given sense to our devotion to this sport: the football players.
Evolution of the shirts of the Mexican football teams through history. Badges and trophies of soccer football tournaments. Diverse objects derived from Mexican first division football teams. Ephemeral equipment in the modern era. The history of the Mexican national team revised through the design of their uniforms.
The exhibition was presented from September 19, 2017 to March 4, 2018.
