The citizens stories, democracy and election propaganda are juxtaposed and pass through everything that happens in modern Mexico. Since Francisco I. Madero demanded “effective suffrage, no re-election” in 1909, to the present day competitive and discussed political elections. With this exhibition of more than fifteen hundred campaign objects, MODO contributes to the review of the processes through which Mexicans have been transformed into an increasingly mobilized and organized civil society and have advanced a long way to build an autonomous, citizen based and reliable electoral institution, as well as a plural, guarded and scrutinized system of political parties.
